What Are We Doing To Increase The Amount Of Affordable Housing In New Jersey?

By: Mike Hayes

Adam Gordon, Executive Director of the Fair Share Housing Center, describes impermanence as the defining issue in today’s housing crisis, impacting families’ ability to stay rooted in their communities. Gordon will join two other experts to discuss New Jersey’s new law, Bill $50/A4, which creates a legislative framework for assigning affordable housing obligations to municipalities. This law marks a shift from a court-managed to a legislative system, aiming to address the severe affordable housing shortage that leaves many families at risk of frequent moves or homelessness.
