The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) has allocated over $108 million in Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) grants to support 44 affordable housing projects statewide since Governor Murphy took office. These projects, led by community-based nonprofits and developers, aim to build 939 affordable units, including 153 for homeownership, with a focus on smaller, sustainable developments that serve local needs. DCA has channeled funds through three distinct programs—Municipal Settlement Fund, Neighborhood Partnership Fund, and Innovation Fund—to address diverse housing challenges, enhance community resources, and ensure long-term housing affordability.
