Helping the Helpers Get It Right
​We support providers across outreach, shelter, and housing programs within New Jersey’s homeless response system so they can respond effectively to people experiencing homelessness. Through training, technical assistance, coordination, and concrete resources we strengthen system capacity and service quality to meet growing and increasingly complex needs.
Homeless Provider Consortium
For more than five years, NJCEH’s Homeless Provider Consortium has brought together providers across New Jersey’s homeless response system to promote collaboration, share information, and strengthen service delivery. As a statewide forum, the Consortium connects shelters, outreach teams, and system partners to align efforts and respond more effectively to the growing needs of people experiencing homelessness.
We host monthly meetings featuring special guest speakers, policy updates, and practical, real-time information to support providers on the ground. These convenings create space for dialogue, problem-solving, and shared learning across the state.
In addition, NJCEH coordinates quarterly site visits and offers an employee assistance program and technical assistance to providers on a range of operational, programmatic, and policy-related issues. We also provide tangible assistance in the form of grant opportunities, furniture, and resource brokerage. Through this work, we help strengthen coordination, build system capacity, and support more consistent, high-quality services statewide.
