Last week, USICH Director Jeff Olivet and Senior Regional Advisor Nichele Carver visited Newark, NJ, to see how investments in housing and shelter have reduced unsheltered homelessness. They met with local officials, toured housing projects, and discussed further federal support, then continued to NYC to explore additional homelessness prevention initiatives.
