Navigating New Jersey's real estate market can feel like an uphill battle. Sky-high living costs, steep property taxes, scarce affordable housing, dense population, commuter preferences, heavy student loan debt, and rising interest rates all converge to make buying a home in the Garden State a daunting challenge. No wonder New Jersey ranks as one of the worst states for homeownership.
